Adi Bracken is a writer and educator from Pittsburgh, PA. She earned her MFA in Creative Writing from Chatham University after receiving a BA in Literature at Seton Hill University. Adi has completed work in the past for Queen's Ferry Press and Fictionvale Magazine. Her fiction writing has appeared in Every Day Fiction, Flash Fiction Magazine, and other literary venues.
Maria Smith, Fiction Editor
Maria Smith is a writer, travel enthusiast, and nature lover who obtained her MFA from Chatham University where she was a finalist for the best thesis in Children’s Writing. She has previously been an assistant on teams for Sunbury Press and The Fourth River and currently teaches at Geneva College. When she’s not working on her novel she is either at her family farm, daydreaming about Jamie Fraser, or swimming with manatees.
Kat Knuth, Nonfiction Editor
Kat Knuth is a library specialist and writer based in Englewood, Colorado. She graduated with a BA from Northwestern University, majoring in philosophy and minoring in cross-genre creative writing, and has an MFA in Creative Writing from Chatham University, concentrating in fiction and nonfiction prose. She taught creative writing classes at the Allegheny County Jail as part of Chatham’s Words Without Walls program and currently works in the library at her local county jail. Her work has been featured in Chicken Soup for the Girl’s Soul, Entre Los Dos, and The Disappointed Housewife.
Katy Garmong, Social Media Editor
Katy Garmong is a marketing writer and professional social media lady in Pittsburgh, PA. She earned her BA in New Media Journalism from Seton Hill University. Her work has been published in Eye Contact Literary Magazine and the former online publications Milk Sugar Literary Magazine and Fiction 365. She is an inconsistent blogger at anawkwardgirl.com, a habitual hobby starter and an obsessive dog lover when not hanging out in corporate-land.

D.J. Shoemaker holds a BFA in Creative Writing from Penn State Behrend in Erie, PA. He works as a television captioner on the outskirts of Pittsburgh by day and moonlights as a fiction writer. His work has appeared in Hot Metal Bridge, Permafrost, and Lammergeier. All original photography found on Quiet Storm belongs to D.J. unless otherwise credited.
